Congratulations to the 2019 National Merit Honorees! This year, SPHS recognizes six Semifinalists and 34 Commended Scholars. Three students also earned accolades as part of the National Hispanic Recognition Program. Students qualify by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) and earning among the highest scores in the state. Semifinalists compete for 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $31 million that will be announced next spring.
