South Pasadena High School has won the 2018 Academic Decathlon competition for Los Angeles County for the fourth consecutive year! The team won a jaw-dropping 94 medals and placed first in Super Quiz Relay, first in overall/all-division and first in the JV team category. SPHS also set a new record for the highest overall team score in LA County.
SPHS team member, Thomas Sawano, was the highest overall scoring decathlete in the entire county with SPHS students Steven Chin and Allison Ou winning second and third place. Looking forward, the SPHS team advances to the California Academic Decathlon competition in March.
