South Pasadena High School (SPHS) held its fourth annual Student Voter Registration drive from September 23-27, 2024. In California, eligible students who are 16-17 are able to pre-register and those 18 and over are able to register to vote.
Students from Maryann Nielsen’s AP Government and Alisia Engelhard’s Civics classes volunteered their time during lunch to help students pre-register and register to vote so that their voices may be heard in upcoming elections. Student volunteers worked with The Civics Center and New Voters organizations, who provided promotional materials and support.
