High fives to the SPHS Girls Track Team who took home the CIF Championship runner-up plaque with an amazing day of excellence on the track at the CIF Finals on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Moorpark High School.
SPHS senior Mia Holden won two individual titles by capturing both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles in CIF Division 3. Holden won the 100 hurdle race in a personal-best time of 14.43 seconds. She also won the 300 hurdles for the second consecutive year in a time of 42.81 seconds. Junior Abigail Errington won the 1,600-meter race then came back and finished second in the 3,200-meter race, with both times qualifying her for next week’s Masters Meet. The Masters Meet is used to qualify for the CIF state meet on May 24-25 in Clovis, Calif.
