Recently, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced semifinalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Semifinalists qualify by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) and earning among the highest scores in the state. Congratulations to Frances Chiu, Matthew Haines, Jessica Li, and Luyang Zhang. These academically talented SPHS seniors now have opportunity to compete for 7,600 different National Merit scholarships.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation also announced 46 SPHS commended students in the 2021 scholarship program. Congratulations to all the students. Go Tigers!
